Many customers cannot distinguish between the special Roland engraving knife and the conventional Roland engraving knife. The two knives have similar appearances, but their structures, compatible machines, and cutting purposes are completely different. Choosing the wrong one directly leads to problems such as incomplete cutting, stuck knives, and broken knives.
The regular Roland engraving knife is a universal tool in the advertising industry, with a smooth blade and no snap ring rubber ring, and the depth of the knife is controlled by the knife holder. The blade is compact and sharp, suitable for cutting thin advertising materials such as instant stickers, car stickers, reflective films, heat transfer films, etc. The cutting surface is smooth, and there are no burrs in small character carving. It is compatible with all Roland advertising engraving machines and is a standard tool for daily use in graphic stores.
The special Roland engraving knife, also known as the card spring Roland knife, comes with a positioning snap ring on the blade and a limit function, making the depth of the knife more stable. The blade head is longer, the blade body is stronger, and the pressure resistance is stronger. It is specifically designed for thick materials and is commonly used in clothing pattern making machines, shoe pattern making machines, and cutting thick materials such as cardboard, kraft paper, and hard cardboard.
The two knife holders cannot be used interchangeably. For cutting thin advertising materials, choose a regular Roland knife, and for deep plowing cutting of thick paper, choose a special Roland knife. Choose according to your needs, which can not only avoid tool breakage and damage, but also improve cutting efficiency and reduce waste of consumables.
